Helen Trafas

Helen Trafas, 94 year old resident of Little Falls, MN passed away on Friday, January 04, 2008 at the Pierz Villa in Pierz, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 AM on Monday, January 7, 2008 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls with Father Nicholas Landsberger officiating. Interment will follow in St. Adalbert's Cemetery in Little Falls. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM Sunday, January 6th and from 10 to 11:15 A.M. on Monday, January 7th at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service (East Chapel) in Little Falls. Parish prayers will be said at 5:30 P.M. Sunday evening at the funeral home. Helen Trafas was born September 10, 1913 in Fessenden, N.D. to the late Frank and Gertrude (Westfal) Puchalla. Helen was united in marriage to Raymond E. Trafas on September 12, 1932 in Little Falls, MN. She worked various jobs in Little Falls which include the Quality Ice Cream Shop, Woolworth's, O'Meara's (20 years) and Bonjo's. Helen was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls. Helen is survived by her husband, Raymond Trafas of Little Falls, MN; children, Ron (Sylvia) Trafas of Little Falls, MN, Jim (Paula) Trafas of Fridley, MN and Karen (Mike) Johnson of Phoenix, AZ; sisters, Agnes Canton of Minneapolis, MN and Lucille Smith of Long Beach, CA; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Gertrude (Westfal) Puchalla; grandson, Michael Trafas and sister, Margaret Clair.
