Helen Gertrude Christenson, 92 year old resident of New Hope, MN died Thursday, April 25 at St. Therese Home in New Hope, MN. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, May 5 at 2:00 P.M. at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, MN. Friends may gather from 1:00-2:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Little Falls, MN. Helen G. Christenson was born June 24, 1920 in Harding, Minnesota to the late Math and Mary (Maleski) Pilarski. She attended school in Harding, MN. She was united in marriage to Albert Dombovy to this union four children were born Carol, Eugene, Cheryl, and Gary. Helen and Albert resided in Morrison County for several years. Albert later died. Helen worked for Larson Boat Works for several years in the laminating department. She was united in marriage to Clarence Christenson and the couple resided in Little Falls, MN. Clarence later died. Helen enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Helen loved flower and vegetable gardening, mushroom hunting and wild berry picking, dogs, cats, even squirrels. And she loved to walk and talk with the people she would meet. A part of paying her a visit in her later years might encompass a five-mile excursion on foot! Left to cherish her memory are her children, Carol Palashewski of Andover, MN, Cheryl Hoeller of St. Helena, CA, Gary Dombouy of Minneapolis, MN; grandchildren, Todd (Kari) Palashewski of Zimmerman, MN, Wade (Shelly) Palashewski of Andover, MN, great - grandchildren, Leila, Kyla, Lydia and Angel. She was preceded in death by her parents, Math and Mary Pilarski; husbands, Albert Dombovy and Clarence Christensen; son, Eugene Dombovy; brother, Frank Pilarski; sisters, Mayme Woitalla and Lucille Piesecki.
