Harry Joe Mosier, 90 year old resident of Royalton, MN died Wednesday, December 18 at St. Ottos Care Center in Little Falls, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 27 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Royalton, MN with Father Laurn Virnig. The burial will be held at The Minnesota State Veterans North of Little Falls, MN at 1:00 p.m. A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 26 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Friday at Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Royalton, MN. The Parish Prayers will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Harry Joe Mosier was born October 2, 1923 in Randall, MN to the late Harry and Alta M. (Post) Mosier. He grew up in Randall, MN and graduated from Little Falls Community Schools in 1941. Joe worked for one year after high school. Joe then enlisted into the United States Army. He served his country in New Guinea, Phillipines and Okinawa. After, he was honorably discharged from the United State Army, he was united in marriage to Geraldine Reis on April 11, 1950 at Holy Angels Catholic Church in St. Cloud.The couple made their home in Royalton where they lived together all their married life and raised their family. Joe owned and operated Royalton Beverage Company Distributor of Grain Belt Beer for 38 Years. He was also part owner of the Royalton State Bank for fourteen years. He served on the Board of Directors of Pine Country Bank from 1980 until 2012. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, small craft piloting, traveling, hobby farming and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and wintering in Arizona. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Royalton, The Royalton Lions Club, The Royalton Sporstman Club and The Royalton American Legion Post #137, The Little Falls American Legion Post #46 and The Little Falls VFW Post #1112.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Barbara (Jerry) Zimny of Esko, MN and Daniel (Christy) Mosier of Tucson, AZ; daughter-in-law, Pam Turner of Longmont, CO; sister, Ilo Simonson of Mercer Island, WA; grandchildren, Kelli (Scott) Deasy, Ryan (Laura) Zimny, Zach Zimny, Bridget (Jonathan) Shore, Ariel Mosier, Annabelle Mosier, Devon Mosier and Claudia Mosier; great-grandchildren, Skylar Wohling, Jordynne Wohling, Lliam Zimny, Harper Deasy, Lauren Deasy, Robert Deasy, Adrie Zimny and many nieces and nephews.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Alta Mosier; wife, Geraldine Mosier and a son, Patrick Mosier (2005); sister, Flossia Armstrong; brothers, Arthur Mosier and Melvin Mosier.
