Gregory Marsolek

November 17, 1960 — July 31, 2012

Gregory Marsolek, 51 year old resident of Baxter, MN formerly of Little Falls, MN died Tuesday at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale, MN as the result of an automobile and bicycle accident in Baxter, MN. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, August 4 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Sobieski, MN with Father Jimmy Joseph officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may gather from 9:30 A.M. until the hour of service on Saturday at the church. Gregory Marsolek was born November 17, 1960 in Little Falls, MN to Jerome and Anne (Super) Marsolek. Greg grew up in Little Falls, MN where he, attended Little Falls Community Schools graduating with the class of 1978. As a young man Greg enjoyed baling hay in Sawn River Township on the family farm. He worked various jobs as a short order cook through out his life in North Dakota and Minnesota. He most recently has lived in Baxter, MN for the past ten years. Greg enjoyed fishing, bicycling and spending time with his family and friends. Left to cherish his memory are his mother Anne Marsolek of Little Falls, MN; children, Graham (Debbie) Marsolek of Waite Park, MN, Dustin Marsolek of St. Michael, MN, Emily (Josh) McCarty of Zimmerman, MN; siblings, Ronald (Diane) Marsolek of Fifty Lakes, MN, Mary Lou (Tim) Krabbenhoft of Aurora, CO; grandchildren, Gavin Marsolek, McKenna Marsolek and a baby boy on the way; nieces and nephews, Kari Krabbenhoft, Travis Krabbenhoft, Michelle (Jeff) Bickford and Trish (Dan) Owens; dear friend, Joe Smalling of Baxter, MN and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerome Marsolek; brother, Roger Michael Marsolek; grandparents, Andrew and Elizabeth Marsolek, Mike and Elizabeth Super and many aunts and uncles. Casket Bearers will be: Joe Smalling, Kari Krabbenhoft, Travis Krabbenhoft, Dan Owens, Jeff Bickford and Josh McCarty.
