Gordon was born in Brainerd, Minnesota on September 23, 1947 to Mae Nagel and Kenneth Wheeler. He was a life-long resident of Little Falls, MN and attended Little Falls Community High School graduating in 1965. Gordon enlisted in the United States Navy on April 18, 1966 and was honorably discharged on October 4, 1970. He was united in marriage to Kathleen Kuchinski on March 1, 2005 in Las Vegas, NV. The couple made their home near Randall, MN. Gordon was a bar and restaurant owner in Morrison County, Minnesota for over 27 years. He was a member of the Little Falls V.F.W. Post #1112, Little Falls American Legion Post #46 and the Moose Lodge. Gordon enjoyed farming, fishing, hunting, playing cards especially Smear, Cribbage and Pinnacle. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Left to cherish Gordon's memory are his wife, Kathleen Wheeler of Randall, MN; daughter, Melissa Sandoval and husband Ruben, of Chaska, MN, sons, Gordie Wheeler Jr. and wife, Tracy, of Little Falls, MN, Daniel Wheeler, of Salt Lake City, Utah, Jeffrey Wheeler and his mother Renee LeDoux, of Little Falls, MN, Jonathan Wheeler of Little Falls, MN; mother, Mae Nagel of Little Falls, MN, father Kenneth Wheeler and wife, Eloise, of Longville, MN; brothers, Donald Wheeler and wife, Geri, of North Branch, MN, Arnie Nagel and wife, Linda, of Wyoming, Louie Nagel and wife, Terri, of South Haven, MN, James Nagle of Sauk Rapids, MN, Joseph Nagel and wife, Sue, of Little Falls, MN, Gordie Nagel and wife, Janet, of Emily, MN, Tom Nagel and wife, Nancy, of Bloomington, MN, Kenny Wheeler of Longville, MN, Todd Wheeler and wife, Laura, of Longville, MN; sisters, Karen Wheeler of Stacy, MN, Teresa Ash and husband, Charlie, of Maple Grove, MN, Vivian Koren and husband, Jeff, of Sauk Rapids, MN, Eloise Roth and husband, David, of Wisconsin, Julie Nagel-Eberhart and husband, David, of Rochester, MN; grandchildren, Samantha Wheeler, Meghan Wheeler, Kendra Wheeler, Jessica Wheeler, Nicholas Wheeler, Erica Wheeler, Matthew Wheeler, Katelyn Wheeler, Patrick Matteson, Sarah Matteson, Leah Rebecca Sandoval and Ryan Sandoval and several nieces, nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by sisters, Laurel Nagel-Roe, Joanne Nagel and Jean Ann Nagel-Hayen and step-father, Arnold Nagel.
