Glen McCann

Glen McCann, age 50, of Hillman, MN, passed away Saturday, March 27, 2010 at his home. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 36055 - 213th Street, Hillman, MN, With Rev. Kathie Rhodes officiating. Private interment will be at a later date. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m until the hour of service on Tuesday at the church. Glen Mathew McCann was born March 10, 1960 in Burnett County, Wisconsin the son of Michael & Judith (Drohman) McCann. His father was in the military, so Glen lived in a number of places settling in Grantsburg, Wisconsin where he graduated from high school in 1978. He raised horses with family and also was a bull rider in rodeos. He worked at Parker Hannifin in Grantsburg for many years. He also owned two body building gyms in Pine City and Hinckley, MN. He was Mr. Minnesota in 1986. On August 2, 1987 he had a son, Terry Christopher "TC" who was the joy of his life and acts more like his father every day. He then worked at Mission Creek in Hinckley, MN, as a stuntman and comedian and did gun fight shows. He then worked in Rush City in a number of jobs. He was united in marriage to Doreen Brown on August 29, 2001 in Siren, Wisconsin. The couple made their home in Grantsburg for five years and moved to rural Hillman where he resided at the time of his death. Glen enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, playing pool, telling jokes, was an artist, enjoyed working with leather, and his ultimate love were horses. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Doreen of Hillman; son, Terry "TC" (Marie) McCann of Hinckley, MN; mother, Judith McCann of Grantsburg, WI; grandmother, Emily Margaret Randolph of Grantsburg, WI; father, Michael McCann of Grantsburg, WI; siblings, Cheryle Lynn (Chico) Chavez of Rosenberg, TX, Leta (Tim) McIntyre of Mt. Zion, IL, Wanda (Jeremy Sickler) Hinrichs of Siren, WI, Judy (Dan) Milligan of Grantsburg, WI; bonus sons, Dustin (Johanna Olson) Keehr of Finlayson, MN, Aston (Amber) Keehr of Sandstone, MN and Christopher Hoaglund of Tampa, FL; mother-in-law, Rita Brown (the other mother) of Hillman, MN; grandchildren, James Tiberius McCann, Adriana Elaine Keehr, Ariel Mae Keehr and Gavin Dustin Keehr and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He especially loved his uncle, Floyd. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Aliah Elaine Keehr; grandparents, Fred & Edna McCann, Floyd Drohman and James Randolph.
