Gladys Spath, 66 year old resident of Brainerd, MN, died Thursday, June 27 at the St. Cloud Hospital. A Funeral Service will be held at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, MN on Saturday, June 29 at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Don Smith Officiating. Friends may gather from 12:00-1:00 P.M. on Saturday at the funeral home.
Burial will be held at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls, MN. on August 2, 2013 at 11:00 A.M.

Gladys Spath was born September 6, 1946 in Aitkin, MN to David and Lillian Banks.She grew and attended school in Aitkin, MN. She was united in marriage to Frederick Spath on July 6, 1996 at the St. Cloud VFW.The couple made their home in Foreston, MN. The couple most recently relocated to San Tan Valley, AZ for the past two years.Gladys enjoyed going to the casino, collecting unusual lighters, crafts, computers and puzzle books.She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Frederick Spath ofSan Tan Valley, AZ; children, Robert K. Edwards of Flasher, ND, John (Jodi) Edwards of Columbiana, OH, Garyl Edwards of San Tan Valley, AZ, Lillian (Terry) Hansen of Stearling, ND and Wendy (Dave) Kasper of Brainerd, MN; special daughter, Dawn Skarphol-Woltman of Big Lake, MN; brothers, Rodney (Karen) Banks of San Tan Valley, AZ, David (Marla) Banks of Sedona, AZ and Jerry Banks of Concrete, WA; 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Lillian Banks; brothers, Charlie and Doug; sisters, Marie, Carol and Betty.
