Gery Czech, age 60, of Little Falls, MN, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Quiet Oaks Hospice House in St. Augusta, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, February 2 at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN with Father Joseph Herzing officiating. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery in Sobieski, MN. Friends may gather from 4:00-8:00 P.M. on Friday, February 1 at Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, MN and from 9:45-10:30 A.M. on Saturday at the funeral home. Parish Prayers will be said at 6:00 P.M. on Friday evening at the funeral home. Gery was born October 11, 1952 in Little Falls, MN to the late Theodore and Theresa (Posch) Czech. He was raised in Morrison County, Minnesota and attended Little Falls Community High School graduating in 1970. After high school, Gery worked for Polar Tank in Opole, MN, for a few years. Gery was united in marriage to Bonnie Saehr on July 13, 1974 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN. The couple made their home in Swan River Township for over 30 years. Gery farmed in Swan River Township and recently returned to Polar Tank. Gery enjoyed deer hunting with his family, fishing, four-wheeling, attending farm auctions, watching the Minnesota Twins, Minnesota Vikings, Gun Smoke and Bonanza, playing horse shoes, hanging out with his kid's friends and drinking Old-Milwaukee beer, He treasured his time spent with his grandson, Braxton. Gery loved his life on the farm. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Bonnie of Little Falls, MN; children, Tina (Wade) Beach of Vermillion, South Dakota, Steven Czech (Michelle Doschka) of Little Falls, MN; grandson, Braxton Beach of Vermillion, South Dakota; siblings, Kenny (Joanie) Czech of Flensburg, MN, Ronnie (Janice) Czech of Sobieski, MN, Karen (Dennis) Piekarski of Blaine, MN, Sharon (Ted) Knopik of Little Falls, MN, Tommy (Pam) Czech of Little Falls, MN, Mary (Michael) Heisick of Holdingford, MN and Debbie (Mike) Klosowski of Little Falls, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Theresa Czech. Casket Bearers will be: Shawn Czech, Jeremy Czech, Robbie Czech, Neil Polishek, Justin Kalis and Cory Beach.
