George Moeglein, age 68, of Little Falls, MN, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at the Lutheran Care Center in Little Falls, MN. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. September 9, 2009 at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service, 900 1st St. SE Little Falls, MN. Burial will be held at the St. Mary's Parish Cemetery in Little Falls, MN. George Frederick Moeglein was born July 15, 1941 in Little Falls, MN to the late Frederick and Marion (Kobilka) Moeglein. He lived in Modesto, CA and environs for about 36 years. George worked at the Stanislaus County Welfare Department in Modesto, CA. He returned to his birthplace of Little Falls, MN in 2005. The theatre was his passion from an early age. George was involved in all aspects of theatre from acting to directing. He co-founded a community theatre in Denair, CA called the Central Valley Players. He performed with many different acting groups: Modesto Civic Theatre, Modesto Performing Arts, The Townshend Opera Players, Modesto Community Theatre, Modesto Junior College, California State University, Stanislaus and Riff Raff Productions. In 2005, he received the Stanislaus Arts Council's award for lifetime achievement in the arts. George spent his entire adult life bringing fine arts to his community and family. George is survived by his daughters, Laura (Karen Scannell) Lanza-Moeglein of Philadelphia, PA and Leisa (Anthony) Machado of Turlock, CA; sisters, Mary (Adrian) Schneider of Little Falls, MN and Mardean (Charly Dickerson) Moeglein of Montpelier, VT; two grandchildren, Laura and Analiese Machado; and former wife, Nancy Frykman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Marion (Kobilka) Moeglein.
