Geraldine Mosier

Geraldine "Geri" Mosier, age 84, of Roylaton, MN, passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. Friday, July 16, 2010 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Royalton, MN, with Rev. Laurn Virnig officiating. Interment will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls. Visitation will be held from 4-8 P.M. Thursday, July 15th and 9-10am Friday, July 16th all at Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Royalton. There will be a Christian Mothers Rosary at 4:30 immediately followed by an American Legion Auxiliary service Thursday at the funeral home and a parish prayer service at 7:00 P.M. Geraldine "Geri" Barbara Reis was born on March 24, 1926 in St. Stephen, Stearns County, Minnesota to the late Joseph M. & Lucy E. (Weyman) Reis. As a child, she moved with her family to Clough Township in Morrison County where she attended country school. She attended beauty school in St. Cloud and worked as a beautician in St. Cloud. She was united in marriage to Joe Mosier on April 11, 1950 at Holy Angels Catholic Church in St. Cloud. The couple made their home in Royalton where they lived together all their married life and raised their family. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, raising beef cattle, downhill skiing, scuba diving, horses, traveling, spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and wintering in Arizona. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Royalton, the St. Gabriel's Hospital Auxiliary and the Royalton American Legion Auxiliary. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Joe Mosier of Royalton; children, Barbara (Jerry) Zimny of Esko, MN and Daniel (Christy) Mosier of Tucson, AZ; daughter-in-law, Pam Turner of Longmont, CO; siblings, Roman Reis of Woodland, CA, Louis (Mary Ann) Reis of Motley, MN, Daniel (Kathleen) Reis of Carlos, MN, James (Sylvia) Reis of St. Wendell, MN, Anita (Myron) Tiemens of Annandale, VA; grandchildren, Kelli (Scott) Deasy, Ryan (Laura) Zimny, Zach Zimny, Bridget (Jonathan Shore) Zimny Ariel Mosier, Annabelle Mosier, Devan Mosier and Claudia Mosier; great-grandchildren, Skylar Wohling, Jordynne Wohling, Lliam Zimny, Harper Deasy and Lauren Deasy. Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents; son, Patrick Mosier (2005) and siblings, Melvin Reis, Donald Reis, Joseph Reis and Rosemary Rennie.
