Geraldine "Jerry" A. Nagel, age 84 of Little Falls, MN, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2011, at St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, January10, 2011, at 11:30 A.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls with the Rev. Nick Landsberger officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Little Falls. Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Sunday and Monday from 8:00-11:00 A.M. at the Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls. Christian Mothers will pray a Rosary at 4:30 P.M. Sunday evening at the funeral chapel followed by parish prayers at 5:30 P.M. Geraldine "Jerry" (Stone) Nagel was born August 14, 1926, in Little Falls, Morrison County, MN to the late A. Irving and Irene (Monahan) Stone. She attended Little Falls Schools graduating in 1944. Jerry was united in marriage to Elmer Nagel on August 10, 1946 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN. The couple made their home in Little Falls. Elmer died October 12, 2005. Jerry worked at St. Paul's Mercantile, EF Hughes Real Estate, for Dr. Jim Dahl, DDS, Memory Lane Gift Shop, J.C. Penney, Wetzel's Jewelry Store, Little Falls Board of Commerce and Minnesota Power. She was a member and past-president of the Little Falls American Legion Auxiliary, St. Mary's Christian Mothers, life member of the Home Gardening Club and started a Bridge Club in Little Falls. Jerry also worked with the Boy Scouts and Campfire Girls. She helped originate the St. Gabriel's Gift Shop, where she worked for ten years. She enjoyed gardening, flowers especially "Pansies", listening to Big Band Music (Glenn Miller's Band was her favorite) spending time with her friends and especially her family. Jerry took great pride in the community in which she lived. Left to cherish her memory are her children, John (Bonnie) Nagel of Little Falls, MN, Bob (Joan) Nagel of Minneapolis, MN, Mark (Kelly) Nagel of Little Falls, MN and Mary Nagel of Little Falls, MN; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer Nagel, parents and siblings. Casketbearers will be Jason Nagel, Bradley Nagel, Dustin Nagel, Andrew Nagel, Jarrod Dukowitz and Jenna Kay Johnson. Honorary Pallbearers are Tori Magee and Mitchel Magee.
