Gerald J. Anderson, age 71, a resident of rural Little Falls, passed away Wed., Jan. 11, 2011 at his home on Green Prairie Fish Lake. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Little Falls, MN, with Rev. Don Ludemann officiating. Interment will be in the Randall City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:30 - 8:30 P.M. on Friday, January 13, 2012 at Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, MN. Visitation will continue on Saturday at the church one hour prior to the service. Gerald John Anderson was born on August 4, 1940 in Little Falls, MN, to the late Axel & Vera (Dumpprope) Anderson. He grew up in Little Falls on the west side and attended Little Falls schools graduating with the Class of 1958. Following his schooling, he enlisted in the United States Navy. He was united in marriage to Marjorie Christian. The couple had two children and then later divorced. Most of his working career was at Hennepin Paper Company in Little Falls where he worked until it closed. He was united in marriage to Joyce Knoll and they had two children. The couple later divorced. Gerald enjoyed fishing with his children and his good friend, Louie, hunting, playing cribbage and aggravation. He also enjoyed watching birds at his lake home on Green Prairie Fish Lake and spending time with his dog, Cappie. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Scott (Liz) Anderson of Lakeville, MN, Susan (Rick Mattison) Anderson of Little Falls, MN, Jody Anderson of Little Falls, MN; grandchildren, Christine (Blaine) Leischner, Saira Nichols, Sean, Shea, and Christopher Anderson; great-granddaughter, Aiden Rosales and brother-in-law, Don Boser of South St. Paul, MN. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, Axel & Vera; daughter, Julie Nichols and sisters, Luella "Lou" Boser and Patty Anderson.
