Genevieve (Gen Stoltman) Wiczek was born on June 18, 1928, in Little Falls, MN to Mary (Spychalla) and Joseph Stoltman. She grew up in Little Falls, where she graduated high school in 1946. She worked for ten years as a credit manager for Sears and Roebuck. On September 29, 1956, she was united in marriage to Thomas (Tom) Wiczek, her sweetheart from childhood. Together they made their home in northeast Little Falls until they purchased Pine Grove Grocery in 1964. With their four children's help and a lot of hard work, they ran the community grocery store for 34 years. "Working 12 hours a day, 7 days a week with your husband, and then at home - well, that's real togetherness," said Genevieve. She prided herself on their personal approach to business. Often Gen would give tips and instruction to customers in need of cooking advice. She appreciated the continuous loyalty of her customers and many lasting friendships were formed over the years. Gen was always ready to go shopping, play bingo, and go "out for a bite". She loved being with her four children, and when grandchildren came along, it added to her pride. She leaves a legacy of those things she loved the most, her family, and a lifetime of precious memories. She is survived by her children, Dan and wife Sandy, of Zimmerman, MN, Darlene Wiczek of New York, Cindy (Eastlack) and husband Tom of Golden Valley, MN, Mary Wiczek and husband Steve Lubbert of Mound, MN, her four grandchildren, Bree Eastlack and fiance, Chris Hanson, Max, Alex and Gabriel Wiczek, brother Gene Stoltman of Downey, CA, and sister Barb (Osowski) of Waite Park, MN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom, and sister, Mary Louise (Lou) Zilka. Gen's nieces and nephews were special people in her life, along with the members of the "27 Club", and many other dear family and friends. A heartfelt thanks to Augustana Emerald Crest Care Facility in Minnetonka, where she resided since 2009.
