Gary DeMoss

Gary M. DeMoss, age 61, of Little Falls, MN, formerly of Upsala, MN died Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center. A Memorial Service will be held at 7pm on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls. Visitation will also be held from 4-8 pm on Thursday, January 6th at the funeral home. A private interment will be held in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls. Gary Martin DeMoss was born on February 16, 1949 in Minneapolis, Minnesota the son of Marion & Alice (Jetland) DeMoss. He grew up in the Twin Cities where he attended school. Gary enlisted in the United States Navy on July 7, 1969 and was on active duty until June 25, 1971 when he was transferred to the Navy Reserves where he served until his honorable discharge on April 6, 1975. Gary completed his Steamfitter Apprenticeship on May 17, 1989. He worked as a Steamfitter Journeyman around the States of Minnesota and North Dakota and was a member of the U.A. Local 126, Detroit Lakes, MN. Gary also worked at Fleet Supply in Little Falls and was most recently employed as a janitor in the Pierz School District. Gary loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing and hunting. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Victoria (John) Walsh of Randall, MN; grandchildren, Johnny Walsh and Madison Walsh of Randall, MN; mother, Alice Moorman of Marshall, Arkansas; siblings, Sandra (Ron) Paulson of Lakeville, MN, Joel (Cindy) Krenzel of North St. Paul, MN, and Doug (Judy) Krenzel of Plymouth, MN; sister-in-law, Marcia DeMoss of Knoxville, IA, and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Gary was preceded in death by his father, Marion DeMoss and brothers, Clifford DeMoss and Rick DeMoss.
