Frederick "Fred" J. Hinnenkamp, age 61, of Royalton, MN, passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at his home following a brief illness. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, MN, with Fr. Al Stangl officiating. Private interment will be held at a later date. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Frederick "Fred" John Hinnenkamp was born on September 5, 1948 in St. Cloud, Minnesota the son of Ralph & Amelda (Lepinski) Hinnenkamp. He graduated from Sauk Rapids High School and St. Cloud State University with a bachelor's degree in business. Fred worked at Coborn's in Sauk Rapids and at Cub Foods (East and West) in St. Cloud where he was a meat cutter. Fred was united in marriage to Elaine Philippi on September 15, 1990. The couple made their home in Waite Park. In 1999, they built a home in Royalton where they currently resided. Fred enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Elaine of Royalton; daughter, Tanya (Tristan) Nichols of Laguna Beach, CA; grandson, Noah Nichols of Laguna Beach, CA; brother, Mike (Terri) Hinnenkamp of New Jersey; step-mother, Bertha Hinnenkamp of Grand Rapids, MN; mother-in-law, Theresa Philippi of Royalton, MN; ex-wife, Beverly Hinnenkamp of Royalton, MN, and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph & Amelda (Lepinski) Hinnenkamp; son, Paul Hinnenkamp; siblings, Susie Hinnenkamp and Patrick Hinnenkamp.
