Francis Graves

Francis "Frank" Graves, 66 year old resident of Little Falls, MN died Saturday, December 20 at his home in Little Falls, MN. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 27 at 11:00 AM at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, MN. Friends may gather from 10:00-11:00 AM on Saturday at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, MN. Burial will be held at a later time. Francis was born September 28, 1942 in International Falls, MN to the late Francis and Audrey (Thorson) Graves. He attended School in International Falls, MN. In 1959, Frank enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and was later honorably discharged. Frank lived and worked in Spokane, WA for a few years after getting out of the military. Frank moved to Minneapolis, MN in 1970 and was united in marriage to Beverly Ann Mortenson on June 23, 1976 in Minneapolis, MN. The couple lived in Minneapolis, MN until moving to Little Falls, MN in 1980. Frank worked various jobs throughout his life. He worked at the Paper Mill in International Falls, MN, United Paints and the coal mines in Spokane, WA, Long Prairie Packing in Long Prairie, MN and Bernie's Auto in Sobieski, MN. His greatest job was taking care of his grandkids. Frank enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family, but mostly, enjoying his grandchildren. Frank is survived by his wife, Beverly Ann (Mortenson) Graves of Little Falls, MN; children, Lance Graves and wife, Melissa, of Little Falls, MN, Robert Graves and friend, Jody Baum, of Swanville, MN, Peggy Szczodroski and husband, David, of Sobieski, MN and Joy Gangl and husband, Scott,of Little Falls, MN; siblings, Glenda Mettler and husband, Perry, Gail Halvorson and husband, Tim, all of International Falls, MN; uncle, Russel Graves of Libby, Mt; grandchildren, Tylor Phillips, Ashley DeFoe, Cody Graves, Faynna Gangl, Faith Gangl, Harley Gangl, Austin Szczodroski, Summer Szczodroski, Samantha Szczodroski, Ryan Graves, Colin Graves and Cheyenne Graves. He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Audrey Graves; brother, Eldon Graves; mother-in-law, Catherine Erickson and father-in-law, Randy Mortenson.
