Frances E. Trutwin

Frances E. Trutwin, age 95, of Royalton, MN, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2011, at St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 26 at 11:00 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Royalton, MN with Father Laurn Virnig officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 9:00 to 11:00 AM on Saturday at the church. Frances E. Trutwin was born February 2, 1916 in Bowlus, MN to the late Joseph and Mary (Hurdt) Slinger. She attended school in Bowlus, MN. Frances was united in marriage to Peter J. Trutwin on September 21, 1942 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Bowlus, MN. The couple made their home in Bowlus, MN for a few years before moving to Royalton, MN. Frances worked at Jerry's Cafe in Royalton, MN for several years. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, crossword puzzles, canning, cooking and visiting with relatives and friends. Frances was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Royalton, MN, where she was an active member of the Christian Mothers and Rosary Sodality. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Royalton, MN. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jim Trutwin and wife, Gail, of Osakis, MN, Clem Trutwin of Royalton, MN, Jerry Trutwin of St. Joseph, MN, Paul Trutwin of Little Falls, MN, Peter Trutwin of Long Lake, MN; grandchildren, Josh Trutwin, Luke Trutwin, Jessie Trutwin, Jenna Trutwin and Jason Trutwin; great-grandchildren, Ali Trutwin, Jameson Trutwin, Zachary Trutwin and Emily Trutwin. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mary (Hurdt) Slinger; husband, Peter Trutwin;daughter, Elaine Renner; siblings, Mary Schneider, John Slinger, Joe Slinger, Rose Haggerty, Frank Slinger, Helen Slinger, Tracy Pintok and Eddie Slinger.
