Brennan, OSC, Fr. Joseph J. Born to Michael and Loretta (Rossman) Brennan on March 4, 1920, in Rochester, MN. Made first profession of vows with the Crosier Fathers and Brothers in Hastings, NE, on August 28, 1940. Ordained a priest on June 8, 1945. Entered eternal rest on October 16, 2010, at the age of 90. Attended Crosier Seminary in Onamia, MN, 1933-39. Served on the faculty of Crosier Seminary 1946-66; Pastor at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Garrison, MN, 1966-82; weekend Associate at St. Joseph's in Pierz, MN, 1982-88; member of the Crosiers' Holy Cross Manor in Beallsville, MD, while serving as Chaplain at Visitation Academy, 1988-93; weekend Associate at Sacred Heart in Wahkon and St. Rita's in Hillman, MN, 1993, until retirement in 2000. Active in the Charismatic movement and healing ministry. Survived by brothers Terence (Patricia) of St. Paul, MN, and Thomas (Patricia) of Fort Worth, TX; his Crosier confreres; countless prayer partners. Fr. Brennan's Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, October 21st at 1:00 PM at Holy Cross Priory Church in Onamia. Reception of the Body will be at 10:00 AM with the Office of the Dead followed by visitation until the Funeral Mass. Burial will be in the Priory cemetery followed by a luncheon at the Crosier Priory. Memorials preferred to the Crosier Fathers and Brothers.
