Fr. John J. Neville

Neville, OSC, Fr. John. Born August 6, 1935. Died from the effects of cancer on June 23, 2008, at the age of 72. The Funeral Mass for Father Neville, OSC, will be celebrated on Friday, June 27, 2008, at the Crosier Priory Church in Onamia, MN, at 7:00 PM. Friends and alumni are welcome to gather to keep vigil beginning at 5:00 PM. Hospitality will follow the Mass. Internment will be held later at a private family service. Fr. Neville professed vows in the Crosier Order on August 28, 1956, and was ordained a priest on May 27, 1961. Throughout his life as a Crosier, Fr. Neville served as teacher, seminary rector, artist, musician, Crosier community leader as Prior and Provincial, and computer expert. Fr. Neville was also known from weekend assistance at parishes in the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis and wherever else he lived. John is survived by his Crosier confreres and his sisters Ruth (Jim) Rossi and Bobbie (Richard) Hook. Memorials are preferred to the Crosier Fathers and Brothers.
