Florence McDermott

Florence McDermott, 96 of Pierz, Minnesota formerly of Hillman, Minnesota, went to be with the lord and daddy on May 29, 2007. Rite of Burial will be held on Friday, June 1, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Bulldog Lake, Minnesota, with Fr. Paul Fruth officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a" 11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will be at Holy Family Parish Cemetery. Florence was born on August 27, 1910 to William & Tilda Hetrick in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Florence was united in marriage to Nicholas McDermott in 1933 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Florence was a resident of Hillman/Pierz area for 34 years. She attended Holy Family Church in Bulldog Lake, Minnesota. Florence enjoyed reading, playing cards (King in the Corner), shopping, having coffee & sweets with friends and family. Her favorite TV. show was Touched By An Angel and she loved to have attention given to her. Florence is survived by her sons, William (Bonnie) McDermott of Crystal, MN, Nicholas D. McDermott of Little Falls, MN; daughters, Marianne (Joe) Caldwell of St. Michael, MN, Marlene (Cliff) Swanson of Maple Grove, MN and Cindy Suedel of Ramsey, MN; nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren. Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas, parents and granddaughter, Julie Ann Davidson. Casket Bearers will be Billy Krause, Peter Krause, Dustin Suedel, Brian Caldwell, Damon Fehringer and Ross McDermott.
