Florence Elizabeth Starr

Florence Starr, 80 year old resident of Buckman Township, Morrison County. Florence died Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at the Country Manor in Sartell, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, February 12th at 11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Morrill, MN with Rev. Antonio Marfori. Burial will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Little Falls, MN. Friends may call from 5-8 PM on Wednesday at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Pierz, MN and from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the church on Thursday. Rosary will be said Wednesday at 5:30 PM at the funeral home. Gillman V.F.W. Auxiliary and the Hillman American Legion Auxiliary Post #602 will conduct rites. Florence was born December 25, 1928 in Buckman Township, Minnesota to the late George and Mary (Hesch) Block. She attended District #21 country school in Buckman Township. She also attended Little Falls Community High School. Florence was united in marriage to Arnold Wisneski in 1948. Arnold died in 1970. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Starr in August 1974 at St. James Catholic Church in Randall, MN. The couple made their home in Buckman Township near Royalton, Minnesota. In April, 2004 Florence moved into the Country Manor in Sartell, MN where she resided until her death. She enjoyed baking, embroidery, making quilts, playing cards, her greatest love was playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Florence is survived by her husband, Kenneth Starr, of Royalton, MN; children, Yvonne Weitgenant of St. Cloud, MN, Richard Wisneski and wife, Sue, of Rice, MN, Herman Wisneski and wife, Barb, of Fort Ripley, MN, Darlene Albrecht and husband, Duane, of Rice,MN; siblings, Doreen Newman and husband, Don, of Little Falls ,MN, Joe Block of Pierz, MN, Helen Heins and husband, Vern, of Randall, MN, Mary Ferrell of Mesa, AZ, Ken Block and wife, Joyce, of Royalton, MN, Bill Block and wife, Barb, of Flensburg, MN, Gene Block and wife, Barb, of Flensburg, MN. 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Arnold Wisneski in 1970; parents, George and Mary (Hesch) Block; brother, Richard Block. Casket Bearers Will Be: Robin Wisneski, Larry Weitgenant, Dean Weitgenant, Jeff Wisneski, Brian Wisneski, Chad Albrecht.
