Fern Ruby Green, 82 year old resident of Little Falls, MN, died Monday, April 28 surrounded by her loving family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, May 3 at 10:30 A.M. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN, with Father Joseph Herzing officiating.The burial will be held at the Baldwin Cemetery near Princeton, MN.A visitation will be held on Friday, May 2 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. and from 9:00-10:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 3 at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, MN. A Rosary will be said at 4:30 P.M. followed by Parish Prayers at 5:30 P.M. on Friday evening at the funeral home.

Fern Ruby Green was born July 29th, 1931 in the city of Northwood, Worth County, Iowa to the late Clarence and Mabel (Bakken) Haugen.She attended Tenold grade school in Iowa and graduated high school from Princeton, MN in 1949.Fern was united in marriage to Everett John Green on October 20th, 1951 at St. Michaels chapel in Pearl Harbor, Honolulu, Hawaii.They returned to Minneapolis, Minnesota, Thanksgiving Day 1952. Fern and her husband Everett lived in the Twin Cities area until 1973 successfully raising 7 children and being active members in the local community. They ventured into owning their own grocery store, starting in Wells, MN and moving to Little Falls, MN in 1980.They retired from the grocery business in 1996.Fern supported the family grocery business by managing the accounting and bookkeeping for over 23 years. Fern loves the Lord very much and is a true servant of the Lord.Her faith is very strong. She has been support to others with thoughtful prayers, comforting and faithful words, a warm heart, and a healing touch. She was an active participant and board member for Womens Aglow International for over 20 years.Fern enjoyed the time with many beautiful women from all faiths.Fern was a very active member of the Healing Light Community, including participation in the Life in the Spirit Seminars.She also attended many conferences and retreats.Fern was active in the Together Encountering Christ ( T.E.C.) program for many years.She also served as a homebound communion distributor for Our Lady of Lourdes church.Fern ran a Norwegian kitchen and was nicknamed the Lefse Queen of the area - perfecting her mothers recipe.She enjoyed making Norwegian specialty foods for the holidays to share with family and friends.
Fern is survived by her seven children, Nancy, Doug (Margo), Dale (Rhonda), Diane Gonzalez, Janet (Chad) Hagen, Theresa Braun, and Judy (Ricardo) Graca.Fourteen grandchildren: Angela (John) Severin, Sarah Lambie; Esteban Gonzalez; Michael, Kelli, Sierra Green; Hannah and Landon Hagen; Whitney and Danielle Bay, Brent Braun; Elias, Elaina, and Laura Graca; Alex Dascalos.Eight great grandchildren: Chase, Faith, and Isabella Severin; James Johnson; Collin Sweeney and Dino, Zoey and Olivia Dascalos.
Fern was preceded in death by her husband Everett John Green, parents, Clarence and Mabel; brother Odeen, and a sister Vera.
