Eugene Zyvoloski, age 78, of Little Falls, MN, passed away Monday, February 22, 2016, at St. Ottos Care Center in Little Falls.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 26, 2016, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN, with Fr. Joseph Herzing officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 25th and 9:00 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 26th all at Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, MN.
There will be a Rosary at 5:00 p.m. followed by Parish Prayer Service at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Eugene Joseph Zyvoloski was born on October 19, 1937 in Little Falls, Minnesota the son of Henry Esther (Sobiech) Zyvoloski. He attended country school near Sobieski. Following his schooling, he farmed with his father. In 1960, he joined the Army National Guard and served until February1961 and then served in the National Guard of Minnesota until 1966. He was united in marriage to Julia Schmidt on July 31, 1961 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Harding, MN. The couple made their home on a farm in Pike Creek Township. Along with farming, Eugene worked at Falls Machine for 30 years as a welder. In his younger years, he also worked at Crestliner. Eugene enjoyed farming and the land, woodworking, fishing, gardening, playing cards and solving brainteaser puzzles. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Stephen (Jileen) Zyvoloski of Circle Pines, MN, Alma (Steve) Kremer of Lakeville, MN, Sheila (Scott) Peterson of Circle Pines, MN, and James Zyvoloski of Burnsville, MN; six grandchildren, Jaime Zyvoloski, Jordan Zyvoloski, Amber Kremer, Abby Kremer, Alyssa Kremer, Will Peterson; siblings, Jerry (Kathy) Zyvoloski of Little Falls, Diane (Paul) Schlichting of Motley, MN, Sherry (Gabe) Kulus of Little Falls, and Susy (Bob) Kulus of Little Falls; brother-in-law, Bill Wiczek of Little Falls and many nieces and nephews.
Eugene was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Julia (Oct. 22, 2009); infant daughter, Annette Zyvoloski; sister, Marlene Wiczek.
