Esther Rose (Boros) Schneider, 91-year-old resident of Little Falls, MN, passed away on Saturday, January 14, at St. Otto’s Care Center in Little Falls with her loving family by her side. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 AM on Friday, January 20, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Little Falls with the Father Ben Kociemba officiating. Interment will be at St. Mary’s cemetery in Little Falls. Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, January 19, and from 9:30-11:00 AM on Friday, all visitation times will be at the funeral home. St. Mary’s Christian Mother’s will pray a rosary at 4:00 PM on Thursday at Emblom Brenny, followed by parish prayers at 5 PM and Knights of Columbus Office for the Dead at 6:15 PM.

Esther Rose Boros was born on August 18, 1931, in Morrison County, MN, to the late Valentine and Rose (Ginter) Boros. She grew up in Morrison County where she attended school in Flensburg. Following her schooling, Esther worked on the family farm. She was united in marriage to Martin L. Schneider on October 24, 1950, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flensburg. Esther and Martin lived in Swanville, Flensburg, Pelican Rapids, and Little Falls. They raised their 4 children in Little Falls. After her children began attending school, Esther worked outside the home, cleaning homes for others as well as several businesses in the Little Falls area. Martin died on February 19, 1987. Esther continued to live in Little Falls all these years, residing there until her death.
Esther enjoyed gardening, tending to her flowers, going to dances, playing cards, spending time with her children, visiting with others, praying the rosary, going to church during the holy hours and spending time with her sister Eleanor. She especially cherished time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Little Falls and St. Mary’s Christian Mothers.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Richard (Mary) Schneider of Little Falls, Rose Darlene (Larry) Gallus of Clear Lake, Phillip Schneider of Little Falls, Roger (Michelle) Schneider of Little Falls; sister, Eleanor Knopik of Little Falls; grandchildren, Michael (Christine) Gallus, Thomas (Sarah) Gallus, Steven (Kelly) Gallus, Tim (Jodi) Schneider, Amy (Nick) Schneider-Novak, Thomas (Katie) Schneider, Ashley (Mike) Gottwalt, Brandon (Courtney) Schneider; great-grandchildren, Lucas Schneider, Jake Schneider, Brooklyn Novak, Bryce Schneider, Lillian Schneider, Kinsley Schneider, Aubrey Gottwalt, Trenton Gottwalt, Parker Gottwalt, Isaac Schneider, Ian Schneider, Sophia Gallus, Quinn Gallus, Elijah Gallus, Amelia Gallus, Ryann Gallus, Colton Gallus, Jameson Gallus and one on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Martin and sisters, Helen Fussy and Bernice Kusterman.
Special Thanks to the staff at St. Otto’s Care Center, especially Tom Tabatt and Centra Care Hospice.
Honorary pallbearers will be St. Mary’s Christian Mothers. Casket bearers will be her grandsons, Michael Gallus, Thomas Gallus, Steven Gallus, Timothy Schneider, Thomas Schneider, and Brandon Schneider.
