Ernest Laurence Neumann

Ernest Ernie Neumann, 83 year old resident of Fort Ripley, MN died Sunday, February 28 at his home surrounded by his loving family. A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 2 at 11:00 A.M. at the Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls with Fr. Joseph Herzing officiating. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 2 from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at the Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, MN.

Ernest Laurence Neumann was born October 29, 1932 in Bemidji, Minnesota to the late Ernest Luke Neumann and Bernadette (Belair) Neumann. He attended high school in Bemidji. He was united in marriage to Joann E. Booth on July 22, 1950 at St. Phillips Church in Bemidji, MN. Ernest worked for a short time for BF Nelson Roofing. He was an owner operator for the following businesses, Neumann Painting Decorating and Ernies Meat Processing. Ernest and Joann made their home in Fort Ripley, MN, where he farmed for many years. Ernest enjoyed fishing, gardening, farming and woodworking.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Joann Neumann of Fort Ripley, MN; children, Timothy L. (Teresita Tess) Neumann of Ham Lake, MN, Curtis J. (Corrinn) Cahoon-Neumann of Brainerd, MN, James E. (Kim Barnes) Neumann of Little Falls, MN, Geri Anne (Tony) Adams of Rice, MN, Nancy J. (Jim) Rushmeyer of Fort Ripley, MN, Jayne M. (Ron) Van Heel of Swanville, MN, Linda S. (Al) Stern of Sauk Rapids, MN; sisters, SisterMary Daniel Neumann of Crookston, MN, Agnes Macias of Virginia; 18 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Luke and Bernadette Neumann; six brothers; three sisters and an infant son.

Honorary Casket Bearers will be: Mike Gildart, Jason Preiss, Kevin Hoskins, David Plante, David Seelen, Richard Banick.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the family of Ernest Neumann.
