Elsie Miller, 64 year old resident of Little Falls died unexpectedly on Monday, December 27 at her home in Little Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 1 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Ben Kociemba officiating. The burial will be held in the parish cemetery. A visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the hour of the Mass. The family request those attending to please wear a mask and socially distance. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the following organizations: The Morrison County Food Shelf: 912 1st Avenue SW, Little Falls, MN 56345 or the Franciscan Sisters: 116 8th Avenue SE, Little Falls, MN 56345.
Elsie Rose Head was born on July 16, 1957 in Staples, MN to the late Byron and Shirley (McCoy) Head. She attended and graduated from Little Falls Community High School. Elsie attended the Staples/Wadena Technical College and received her diploma in accounting. She was united in marriage to Duane Jay Miller on August 23, 1975. The couple moved to Salinas, California so Duane could finish his military duties. The couple returned to Little Falls where Elsie worked for the Franciscan Sisters in Little Falls for several years. Elsie loved to attend and watch her two grandsons, Caden and Caleb play sports. She enjoyed a good T.V. show and doing puzzles. She volunteered for Linden Hills and the Morrison County Food Shelf. Elsie will be remembered for her compassion and love for helping others.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Duane Miller of Little Falls; daughter, Michelle King of Monticello; grandsons, Caden and Caleb King; mother, Shirley Feakes of Motley; siblings, Wally Head of Little Falls and Sheri LaCroix of Monticello, FL; brother and sisters-in-law, Terry (Elaine) Miller of White Bear Lake, MN, Linda (Daniel) Gillman of Victorville, CA and Arnelle (Del) Schlichting of St. Cloud and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Byron Head; daughter, Kristie Miller; sister, Brenda Tretter and a brother, Billy Head.
