Elsie Lintner, age 90, of Little Falls, MN, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at St. Gabriels Hospital.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 11, 2015, at Bethel Lutheran Church in Little Falls, MN, with Rev. Jean Megorden officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery in Little Falls.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 P.M. on Friday, July 10th at Emblom Brenny Funeral Service and at the church on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of the service.
Elsie Evelyn Schuur was born on April 11, 1925, in Lime Creek, Minnesota the daughter of Jacob Gladys (Vanderveen) Schuur. She grew up in Fulda, MN, where she attended school. Following her schooling, she worked various jobs. In 1942, she was united in marriage to Harry Lintner in Flandreau, SD. During Harrys military service, Elsie lived with Harrys parents for four years. The couple settled in Little Falls after Harrys discharge from the military. Elsie worked at St. Ottos Care Center, the Lutheran Care Center, and St. Gabriels Hospital as a nursing assistant. She retired in 1993 and continued living in Little Falls. Elsie enjoyed gardening, fishing, canning, flowers, quilting and especially spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Little Falls.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Glenn (Kathie) Lintner of Helena, MT, Gordon (Dorothy) Lintner of Little Falls, MN, Edward (Diane) Lintner of Ft. Ripley, MN, Sandra (Jim) Bayerl of St. Francis, MN, and Larry (Shirley) Lintner of Brainerd, MN; siblings, Mike (Cheryl) Schuur of Owatonna, MN, Jake Schuurof Centuria, WI, Katherine Tate of Garnett, KS and Shirley (Larry) Werkmanof Audubon, MN; son-in-law, John Kimman of Little Falls, MN; 16 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Elsie was preceded in death by parents; husband, Harry (January 14,1961); daughter, Sharon Kimman and siblings, Ralph Schuur, Charles Schuur, John Schuur, Ranko Schuur, Joe Schuur, Sena Bellenger and a grandson, Michael Lintner.
Casket Bearers will be: Anthony Lintner, David Carpentier, Jim Kimman, Greg Kimman, Mark Lintner and Russ Lintner.
