Elmer Langer, 97 year old resident, of West St. Paul, MN formerly of Pierz, MN, died peacefully, Monday, July 11 at South View Acres in West St. Paul, MN, surrounded by his family. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, July 18, 2016 at 11 AM at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Buckman, MN. A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 17, 2016 from 3-6 PM at Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Pierz, MN and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Elmer Anthony Langer was born on April 27, 1919 in Pierz, MN. Elmer was a WWII Veteran serving in Europe as a German Interpreter. He married Julia Willenbring in January of 1947. He worked for over 30 years hauling new Ford cars to various dealerships in the Midwest, and retired at the age of 62. Elmer spent much of his retirement years fishing, golfing, and being a Wonderful Grandfather to his Grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Julia (Willenbring) Langer; children, Chuck (Shelly) Langer, Jane Langer, Bob (Annie) Langer, Michael (Karen) Langer, Kay Sikich, and Kristin (Blair) Brumley; 16 grandchildren, Brad Langer, Jennifer Draheim, Melissa Hoppe, Michael Hoppe, Michelle Foss, Tom Langer, Melissa Gurewitz, David Gurewitz, Robbie Sikich, Scottie Sikich, Megan Langer, Billy Langer, Blake Brumley, Katie Brumley, Brock Brumley, Kennedi Brumley; 5 Great-Grandchildren, Irelandrose Langer, Liam Langer, Charley Draheim, Max Draheim, and Bo Draheim.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry Ann Langer; and daughter, June Hoppe.
