Ellen Skorseth

Ellen Ardelle Skorseth, 90, a resident of Little Falls, MN, died at home Wednesday, July 3. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, July 5 at 2:00 P.M. at First United Church in Little Falls, MN with Pastor Eric Shin officiating. A visitation begins at 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service Saturday, July 5 at First United Church in Little Falls, MN. Burial will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at 11:15 A.M. on Monday, July 7.

Ellen Ardelle Cochran was born February 22, 1924 in Park Rapids, MN to the late Fred and Ethel (Parks) Cochran. She was united in marriage to David Skorseth on August 9, 1947. Ellen was a teacher for 25 years in Warren, MN. Ellen enjoyed cooking, sewing, reading, bowling, playing golf and Scrabble. Ellen was an active member of First United Church and was also active with the American Legion Auxiliary.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Gordon (Sue) Skorseth, Vicki (Skorseth) Krueger, Theresa Skorseth, Lori (Dave) Skorseth Weber, Heidi (Brian) Skorseth King, Daniel Skorseth and Debora (Allen) Skorseth Wood, 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Ethel (Parks) Cochran; husband, David Skorseth, siblings, Don Cochran, Grace Ottarson, Harold Cochran, Virgil Cochran, Wayne Cochran, and a son-in-law Timothy Wood.

Memorials to St. Gabriels Unity Family Home Care and Hospice or Minnesota Youth Symphonies preferred.
