Eleanor Jane Czech, age 87, of Little Falls, MN, formerly of Sobieski, MN, passed away Saturday, October 4, 2014, at St. Ottos Care Center in Little Falls, MN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 11, 2014, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Sobieski, MN with Fr. Jimmy Joseph and Fr. Timothy Wenzel concelebrating.

Interment will be next to her husband in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls at 9:00 A.M. on Monday, October 13th.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 8:00 P.M. on Friday, October 10, 2014 and 8:00 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 11, 2014 all at Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls.

There will be a Parish Prayer service at 5:30 P.M. on Friday at the funeral home.

Eleanor Jane Witt was born on August 23, 1927, to the late Alex & Pauline (Witucki) Witt.She was united in marriage to John A. Czech on June 2, 1947 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Sobieski.The couple farmed in Pike Creek Township until Johns retirement in 1988.Along with raising her family, Eleanor worked at Munsingwear, Sanitary Bakery and the Family Shoe Store all in Little Falls.In her later years, she cared for elderly people in their homes.She enjoyed sewing, baking, preparing meals for her family, gardening, canning, and especially loved listening and dancing to Old-Tyme Polish music.She was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Sobieski.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Charlotte (Paul McDonald) Czech of St. Paul, MN, Harvey (Carol) Czech of Little Falls, MN, Allen (Trudy) Czech of Little Falls, MN, and Myron (Debbie) Czech of Little Falls, MN; brother, Jerome (Ann) Witt of Little Falls, MN; sister, Betty (Pat) Wheeler of Little Falls, MN; grandchildren, Alex Wenzel, Emily (Todd) Wenzel Olin, Joshua Wenzel, Bradley (Liz) Czech, Jonathan (Jenna) Czech, Nicklos (Gina) Czech, Lukas Czech, Heidi (Chris) Pasela, Annika (Kyle) Klosowski, Maysie (Sam) Marcus, Brent (Callie) Czech, Micki Czech, Adrienne (Tyler) Lind, and Carly Czech; great-grandchildren, William and Nora Olin, Gabriella, Kathryn, and Brooks Czech, Chloe, Margeaux, and Penelope Czech, Ailie Czech, Lilly and Lucy Pasela, and Audrey Czech.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, Alex Witt & Pauline (Witucki) Cichon; husband, John Albin Czech (2/5/2009); step-father, Albert Cichon; brother, Daniel Witt; sister, Rose Bobick; and infant brother, Duane Cichon.
