Elaine J. Boody

Elaine J. Boody, 79 year old resident of Little Falls, MN, died Friday, March 1 at St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls, MN. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 6 at 11:00 A.M. at First Lutheran Church in Little Falls, MN with Rev. David Spearstad officiating. Friends may gather from 4:00-7:00 P.M. on Tuesday at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, MN and from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Darling Cemetery. Elaine Joyce Abrahamson was born April 23, 1933 in Morrison County, one of eight children to the late Clarence and Mabel (Hall) Abrahamson. Elaine graduated from Little Falls Community High School in 1951. She moved to Minneapolis, MN, and worked for Mutual Service Insurance Company. Elaine met her future husband, Frank while living in Minneapolis, MN. She was united in marriage to Frank Frederick Boody on April 4, 1953 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in LaGrange, MO. The couple lived in Canton, MO, Omaha, NE, Minneapolis, MN and Waterloo, IA. The couple returned to Morrison County, Minnesota in 1961 and lived in Darling Township for several years. Elaine worked at White Mart in Little Falls, MN, from 1978 until 1995. Elaine was known as "Grandma" while working at White Mart. Elaine and Frank moved into Little Falls, MN, in 1996. Frank died in 2002. She treasured her time spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Elaine enjoyed gardening, sewing, and doing yard work. She enjoyed caring for her family and had a strong belief in the Lord. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Little Falls, MN. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Gerry (Becky) Boody of Little Falls, MN, John Boody of Little Falls, MN, Debra Mullins of Chaska, MN and Lori Boody of St. Cloud, MN; sisters, Lois Sanderson of Little Falls, MN, Carole (Dennis) Morawczyski of Browerville, MN and Diane (Robert) Zaske of Ramsey, MN; 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Mabel Abrhamson, husband, Frank; brothers, Robert, Gerald, John, Clarence, Jr. and a grandson, Tyler Boody.
