Edward "Ed" Rekowski

Edward Ed C. Rekowski, age 81, of Little Falls, MN, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2014, at Diamond Willow Assisted Living in Little Falls.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 20, 2014, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN, with Fr. Jeremy Ploof officiating.Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 19th, and 9:00 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 20th all at Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls.

There will be a parish prayer service at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.

Edward Ed Carl Rekowski was born on November 4, 1932, in Pike Creek Township, Morrison County, Minnesota the son of Frank & Agnes (Knopik) Rekowski.He grew up on a farm in Pike Creek Township and attended country school through the eighth grade.He was united in marriage to Geraldine Hanson on November 22, 1955, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls, Minnesota.The couple made their home on the Mississippi River just south of Little Falls where they raised their 10 children.Ed worked in construction for Tuholskys Construction, L & K Reddy Mix and Dave Larson Excavating.He loved to fish, enjoyed hunting, scrapping iron, smoking venison, turkey and fish, gardening, raising chickens, having turtle dinners and made horseradish and headcheese.He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, David (Cindy) of Fort Ripley, Cheri (Al) Valerius of Big Lake, James of Little Falls, Cindy (Don) Reznechek of Granite Falls, Daniel (Lisa) of Brainerd, Connie (Mike) Skeie of Granite Falls, Carol (Kevin) Snow of Little Falls, Darryl (Vicki) of Little Falls, Dale (friend, Nita) of Little Falls, and Carla (Rick) Dickhausen of Gilman; brother, Bernard Rekowski of Little Falls; sisters, Martha Becker of Little Falls and Mary (Paul) Otting of Lonsdale; 15 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchild.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Geraldine (Hanson) Rekowski (July 3, 2005).
