Edward Arthur Blaisdell

Edward Blaisdell, 76 year old resident of Foley, MN formerly of Morrill, MN, died Monday, February 15 at the St. Cloud Hospital. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday, February 21 from 1:00-4:00 P.M. at the Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Pierz, MN. The burial will be held at a later date at Lone Pine Cemetery near Morrill, MN.

Edward Arthur Blaisdell was born August 4, 1939 to the late William and Marie (Begordis) Blaisdell. He attended District #113 Country School and Foley High School. Edward was united in marriage to Patricia Joy Byzewski on February 24, 1968 and the couple divorced on September 11, 1978. Ed worked in Minneapolis, MN for over 30 years for Minneapolis Moline, FMC andNorthern Pumps in the foundry business. He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, watching old westerns and listening to StoneWall Jackson. Ed enjoyed traveling out to the western states. Ed would drive on the weekends to help his brother, Jim, farm for several years.

Left to cherish his memory are his siblings, Don (Terri) Blaisdell of Little Falls, MN, Billy Blaisdell of Pierz, MN, Richard Butch Blaisdell of Pierz, MN, Barb Babs Funk of Buckman, MN, Birdie (David) Kuschel of Royalton, MN, Jim (Linda) Blaisdell of Pierz, MN, Mary Jo Laurent of Sauk Rapids, MN and Margie (Chuck) Wolf of Gilman, MN; sister-in-law, Toni Blaisdell of Sauk Rapids, MN and many nieces and nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Marie Blaisdell; brother, Jerry Blasidell (2003); brothers-in-law, Alvin Funk (2001), Al Laurent (2000); sister-in-law, Arlene Blaisdell (2002);niece, Kimberly Blaisdell (2009) and nephews, Michael Blaisdell (2003) and Tommy Funk (2000).
