Edna Mueller

Edna Mueller, 93 year old resident of Pierz, MN formerly of Buckman, MN died Monday, May 10 at Horizon Health in Pierz, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, May 14 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Buckman, MN. Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 P.M. on Thursday at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Pierz, MN and from 9:30-10:45 A.M. on Friday at the church. Christian Mothers and St. Michael's Society will pray the Rosary at 4:30 PM followed by Parish Prayers at 6:00 P.M and KC's at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday at the funeral home. Edna (Lochner) Mueller was born March 14, 1917 to the late Mathew and Dora (Hoheisel) Lochner. She grew up in Pierz Township, Morrison County on her great-grandfather's century farm and attended District #98 Country School. Edna was united in marriage to Roman Mueller on February 5, 1940 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pierz, MN. The couple lived in Buckman, MN where they owned and operated Mueller's Bar from 1948 until 1970. She also worked the hot lunch program at St. Michael's Catholic School in Buckman, MN. Roman died April 26, 1995. Edna continued living in Buckman, MN until moving to Rose Court Apartments in Pierz, MN in 1996. In 2007, she moved into the Harmony House in Pierz, MN. She resided at the Harmony House in Pierz, MN at the time of her death. Edna was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Christian Mother's for over 65 years and St. Michael's Society. She enjoyed quilting, embroidering, playing cards and cheering for the Buckman Billy Goats baseball team. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jeanne Marshik (Gene) of Malmo, MN, Joyce Helmers of Minneapolis, MN, Ken Mueller of Buckman, MN, Ron Mueller (Joyce) of St. Augusta, MN, Kate Farnham of Chanhassen, MN, Mary Piasecki (Gary) of Clayton, WI; siblings, Carl Lochner (Ann) of Pierz, MN, Leroy Lochner (Margaret) of Sartell, MN, Donna Mae Kelzenberg (Oliver) of Shoreview, MN; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mathew and Dora Lochner; husband, Roman Mueller; son-in-law, Jim Helmers; siblings, Willie Lochner, Herman Lochner and Alvin Brandl.
