Edmund G. Poser

Edmund Poser, 98 year old resident of Pierz, MN, died Sunday, March 3, 2013 at the Lutheran Care Center in Little Falls, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, March 7 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pierz, MN with Father, Greg Poser and Father Kenneth Popp officiating. Friends may gather from 9:00-11:00 A.M. on Thursday at the church in Pierz, MN. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Edmund G. Poser was born on August 14, 1914, in Pierz, MN, the son of Herman & Thresia (Zierer) Poser. He farmed with his father and at the age of 24, was united in marriage to Lorraine Kliber on December 1, 1938. Following his marriage, he farmed on his own for a while and then began working as a mechanic for a number of years for Lawrence Litke. He then went to work for Morrison County for 29 years as a patrol operator. Due to an accident at the age of 62, he retired. In his retirement, he worked around him home in Pierz and enjoyed craft work. Edmund was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church where he served as an usher for over 17 years. Left to cherish his memory are his son, Marvin (Christine) Poser of Mechanicsburg, PA; grandchildren, Christy Poser of Grantham, PA and Benjamin Poser of Leymone, PA; brother, Leonard (Diane) Poser of Lastrup, MN; sisters-in-law, Zita Poser of Pierz, MN, Esther Poser of Pierz, MN, and Muriel Kliber of Little Falls, MN, and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Edmund was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lorraine (March 20, 2010); son, Jim (December 30, 2012); an infant son; brothers, Felix, Raymond, Herman, Ben, Urban , Arnold Poser; sisters, Irene Britz, Barbara Short, Thresia Sanders, Adeline Przybilla and Alma Littlefield and an infant grandchild.
