Edmund Brisk

Edmund Brisk, 91 year old resident of Little Falls died Thursday, May17 at St. Ottos Care Center in Little Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 24 at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Belle Prairie with Father Joseph Herzing officiating. The burial will be held at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Little Falls. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 23 from 4:00-7:00 P.M. At Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls and from 10:00 A.M until the hour of the service on Thursday at the church.

Edmund Mike Brisk was born November 24, 1926 in Pulaski Township, Morrison County, Minnesota to Mike Peter and Rosie (Matlock) Brisk. He grew up in the Harding, Pulaski Township area where he attended school until the eighth grade. He served his Country in the United States Army. After his honorable discharge he was united in marriage to Bertha Marttila on June 21, 1952. The couple made their home in Harding from 1952 until moving to Belle Prairie in 1960. Edmund owned and operated his construction company. He worked all over the Midwest doing road construction for various owners and companies. Edmund was a hard worker and work was his life. He enjoyed auctions, gambling especially Keno, family gatherings and Fourth of July fish fries. Edmund treasured his trips to Arizona. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Bertha Muggs Brisk; children, James (Sandra) Brisk of Little Falls, JoAnne (Pat McLain) of Canby, Nancy Brisk of Wayzata, David Brisk of Alaska, Debra Brisk (Kipp Wyse) of Buffalo, Maribeth Brisk (Larry Syme) of Bullhead City, AZ; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; siblings, Bernard (Marion) of Pierz, Raymond (Irene) of Little Falls, Virgil (Babe) of Little Falls and Amelia of Pierz.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Archie, Butch, Richard and Lucy.
