Dorothy Sanoski

Dorothy Sanoski, 63 year old resident of Darling Township, Morrison County, died Wednesday, February 19 at her home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 24 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Belle Prairie with Father Joseph Herzing officiating. The burial will be held in the parish cemetery. A visitation will be held on Monday, February 24 from 9:00 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Family Catholic Church Belle Prairie, MN.

Dorothy Allord was born September 26, 1950 in Little Falls, MN to the late Clayton and Kathleen (Menden) Allord.She grew up in Little Falls, MN. Dorothy attended Little Falls Community High School graduating with the class of 1968. She was united in marriage to George Sanoski on September 26, 1987 at the Camp Ripley Chapel inside the main gate.The couple made their home in Darling Township, Morrison County, Minnesota.Dorothy worked for 22 years for Dr. Steve Hortness as an office assistant for his chiropractic business. She also worked for the past few years for Essentia Health Care in Brainerd, MN as a clerical receptionist. Dorothy was known for her fabulous cooking, canning and gardening. Her homemade pickles and homegrown tomatoes were a favorite among friends and family. When not busy in the kitchen or garden, she enjoyed needle work, crocheting and embroidery. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Belle Prairie, Minnesota.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Matthew (Adelle Jahraus) of Browerville, MN and Jonathan (Jasmin Waytashek) Sanoski of Little Falls, MN; mother, Kathleen Allord of Little Falls, MN; siblings, Sharon (John) Bassett, Mary (Dennis) Brausen, Ralph Allord, Beth (Henry) Birr, Margaret (Donnie) Sahr, Gary (Pam) Allord, Brenda (Paul) Petersen and Eugene (Heidi) Allord all of Little Falls, MN, along with four grandchildren Isabella, Savanna, Layla and Myla Sanoski.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, George Sanoski in 2002, father, Clayton Allord in 1994 and an infant sister, Michelle Allord in 1964.
