Dorothy Rush, 80 year old resident of Little Falls, MN died Tuesday, September 25 at the Harmony House in Little Falls, MN. A Memorial Service will be held for Dorothy on Thursday, September 27 at 7:00 P.M. with Rev. Merril Kindall at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, MN. Friends may gather from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday at the funeral home. Private burial will take place. Dorothy Rush was born on October 3, 1931 in Perham, Minnesota to the late Edward and Ethel (Johnson) Sonnenberg. She was united in marriage to Donald Rush on October 10, 1958 in New York Mills, MN. The couple lived in Big Lake, MN until moving to Little Falls, MN in 1972. They owned and operated Rush's Chicken Shack in Little Falls, Monticello, Buffalo and St. Cloud. Donald passed away on April 29, 2003. Dorothy continued living in Little Falls, MN. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, casino, wine night with her family, cooking, playing cards, campfires and sitting in the sunshine. Dorothy's greatest treasure was her time spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Grateful for having shared her life are her children, George (Anne) Rush of Little Falls, MN, Ed Rush of Little Falls, MN, Ronald (Jennifer) Rush of Melrose, MN, John Rush of Little Falls, MN, Steven (Lori) of Little Falls, MN, Janell (Darwin) Posterick of Randall, MN; siblings, Robert (Ingrid) Sonnenberg of New York Mills, MN, Dale (Virginia) Sonnenberg of Albuquerque, NM; 20 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and three on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Ethel (Johnson) Sonnenberg; husband, Donald Rush on April 29, 2003; grandson, Ben Rush in 2007; siblings, Raymond Sonnenberg, Bernice Frost, Janet Elmos, Verna Sillanpaa.
