Dorothy Rudolph, age 85 of Little Falls, MN passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at her home in Swan River Township, Morrison County, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 10:30 A.M. at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Bowlus, MN with Fr. Dale Ettel and Fr. David Maciej concelebrating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4-9 P.M. Thursday and Friday from 8-9:30 A.M. at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service, SE chapel in Little Falls. Daughters of Isabella, St. Francis Mission Circle, and the Bowlus Legion Auxiliary will pray a Rosary at 4:30 P.M. Thursday afternoon at the funeral chapel followed by Parish Prayers at 6:00 P.M. and Knights of Columbus Office for the Dead at 7:30 P.M. Dorothy E. (Kokett) Rudolph was born February 21, 1923, in Swan River Township, Morrison County, MN to the late Martin J. and Anna (Kupka) Kokett. She grew up in the Swan River Township area where she attended school in District #25. After her schooling, Dorothy moved to Minneapolis where she worked as a nanny. She moved back to Swan River Township. She met and was united in marriage to Roman Rudolph on May 24, 1949 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Sobieski, MN. Following their marriage, Dorothy and Roman lived and farmed in Swan River Township until retiring in 1979. Roman died April 24, 2003. Dorothy continued to live in her home in Swan River Township residing there until her death. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, reading, bird watching, gardening, collecting angels and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she cherished very much. Dorothy was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Bowlus. She taught religious education for over 30 years, served on the Altar Rosary Society and parish council. Dorothy received diocesan recognition for Mission and Parish work. Dorothy also served as a 4H leader for many years. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella where she served as Past Regent and received the Queen Isabella Award,a member of the Bowlus American Legion Auxiliary where she served as past president, a life member of the Little Falls V.F.W. Auxiliary and St. Francis Mission Circle. Dorothy is survived by her son, Martin (Louise) Rudolph of Little Falls, MN; daughter, Jan Dale) Lust of Little Falls, MN; brother, Ben (Mary) Kokett of Little Falls, MN; sisters, Clara Holtz & Phinee Zak, both of Little Falls, MN; grandchildren, Philip (Michele) Rudolph, Paul (Suzie) Rudolph, Nathan (Brenda) Rudolph, Mark Rudolph, Ann Rudolph & fiancee, Dan Hines, Bridget Rudolph, Monica Rudolph, Tony (Anji) Lust, Steven (Angela) Lust & Robert Lust; great-grandchildren, Kaylee & Zackary Rudolph, Elizabeth Rudolph, Sophia Lust, Ava Lust and three great grandbabies on the way. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roman; parents; grandson, Matthew Rudolph; sisters, Bridget, Caroline & Rose. Casket Bearers are Matthew, Philip, Paul, Nathan & Mark Rudolph, Tony, Steven & Robert Lust.
