Dorothy Porten

Dorothy Porten, 83 year old resident of Little Falls, MN, died Monday, November 30 at St. Gabriels Hospital in Little Falls, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, December 5 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Marys Catholic Church with Father Jeremy Ploof officiating. The burial will be held in the parish cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 A.M. at the church on Saturday.



Dorothy Ann Porten was born April 26, 1932 in Little Falls, MN to the late Edward and Lucille Catherine (Florek) Porten. She attended high school in Little Falls at St. Francis graduating in 1950. She attended St. Marys College in Winona, MN graduating with a Medical Technology Degree. She worked at UpJohns Pharmaceutical Company in Kalamazoo, MI. In 1969, she moved to Little Falls, MN to be with her mother after the death of her father. Dorothy was active at St. Marys Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN.

Left to cherish her memory are her brother, John (Emele) Porten of Pine Springs, MN; nephews, Gregory, Michael and Kenneth Porten; nieces, Linda Lynch, Cindy Pearce,Sheryl Engstrom; and great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Lucille Catherine Porten.

Casket Bearers will be: Gregory Porten, Michael Porten, Kenneth Porten, Linda Lynch, Cindy Pearce, Sheryl Engstrom.
