Dorothy M. Psyck, age 89 of Bowlus, MN passed away Sunday, November 16, 2008, at St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, November 19, 2008, at 10:30 A.M. at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Bowlus with the Rev. Dale Ettel officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 4:00-8:00 P.M. and Wednesday from 8:00-10:000 A.M. at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Bowlus. The Rosary Society and Daughters of Isabella will pray a Rosary Tuesday evening at 4:30 P.M. at St. Stanislaus Church in Bowlus, followed by Parish Prayers at 6:00 P.M. Dorothy M. Psyck was born February 1, 1919 in Holdingford, MN to the late Ignatz and Anne (Beniek) Wentland. She grew up in the Holdingford area where she attended country school. Following her schooling, Dorothy worked at the Osco Drug Store in St. Cloud. She then attended St. Cloud Beauty School graduating in 1938. In 1942, she worked in Minneapolis as a riveter. Dorothy was united in marriage to Clarence Psyck on April 23, 1945 in Holdingford, MN. The couple moved to Bowlus where they owned and operated Psyck's Market until 1981. Clarence died May 25, 1981. Dorothy continued to live in Bowlus. She later became a resident of St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls where she resided until her death. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church where she worked as a Pastoral Housekeeper, Church Sacristan, Eucharistic Minister and taught Religious Education. Dorothy also was a member of the Rosary Society, Daughters of Isabella and the Bowlus American Legion Auxiliary. Dorothy enjoyed volunteering at St. Otto's Care Center, the Lutheran Care Center and at St. Gabriel's Hospital. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter & sons, Marian "Psyck" (Robert) Williams of Mounds View, MN, Clarence "Butch" (Patricia) Psyck, Jr. of Bowlus, MN, Bob (Shirley) Psyck of Little Falls, MN; Brothers, Leo (Doris) Wentland, Ambrose Wentland and Louis (Elanor) Wentland all of Holdingford, MN; daughter-in-law, Diane Psyck of Royalton, MN; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; son, Jack Psyck; parents, Ignatz & Anne Wentland; sisters & brothers, Josephine Winskowski, Rose Marsolek, Stanley Wentland, Anthony "Tony" Wentland, Mary Wentland, Adelaide Stanek, Roman Wentland & Arthur Wentland. Casket Bearers are Bradley, Steven, Glenn, Scott & Shawn Psyck and Stacey Allen. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to the Children's Cancer Research
