Dorothy Blair

Dorothy Blair, age 83, of Little Falls, MN, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, May 20, 2015.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN, with Fr. Joseph Herzing officiating.Interment will be at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, May 26th in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Tuesday, May 26th at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls.

Dorothy was born on September 22, 1931, in St. Cloud, Minnesota the daughter of Henry & Gertrude (Plemel) Bredeck.She grew up in St. Cloud where she attended school.She graduated from Cathedral High School in 1949.Following her schooling, she worked at St. Cloud State and at Rays in Kimball.She was united in marriage to Ralph Blair on April 27, 1955, at Holy Angels Catholic Church in St. Cloud.The couple made their home in San Diego, CA, where Ralph was stationed in the Navy.The couple moved to Minneapolis following Ralphs service, then to Kimball, Rockford and finally settling in Little Falls in 1971.Dorothy worked as a pharmacy technician at White Mart (now Coborns Pharmacy) in Little Falls, retiring in 2002.She enjoyed gardening, canning, reading, camping, traveling and taking care of her grandchildren.She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church (Legion & VFW Aux).

Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Ralph of Little Falls; children, Judy (Tim) Jones of St. Cloud, Denise (Michael) Schnettler of Foley, Diane Blair of St. Cloud, Alan (Cindy) Blair of Albuquerque, NM, Cathy (Ronald) Mehr of Paynesville, Michael (Erin) Blair of Little Falls; and 9 grandchildren, Cody (Bethany), Courtney, Nathan, Grace, Devin, Emily, Joey, Ellie, Tommy.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Henry & Gertrude and a brother, Richard Bredeck.
