Dorothy Ann Sjoberg, age 87, of Little Falls passed away Saturday June 9 at St. Ottos Care Center in Little Falls. Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M.Wednesday, June 13, 2018at St. Ottos Care Center Chapel in Little Falls. Father Gerald Dalseth will officiate and visitation will be one hour prior to services at St. Ottos Care Center Chapel. Burial will be held at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls.
Dorothy was born September 4, 1930 in Royalton to Henry and Mary (Sauer) Tiemann. She married the love of her life and best friend, Philip Sjoberg on August 25, 1950 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Royalton. Dorothy worked as a bank teller, eventually working her way up to a loan officer before her retirement. She enjoyed reading and listening to music. Dorothy and Phillip loved traveling together. Dorothys favorite place she traveled was to her families surprise, Mardi Gras! Dorothy said everyone should go there at least once! Dorothy was very hard working and independent not only as a wife and mother but as a women and business women. Dorothy loved life, especially spending time with her family.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Diane (Cletus) Novitzki of Hackensack, Karen Powell of Royalton, Gail (Darrell) Holm of Royalton, Karl (Jo Zimny) of Rice, Mark (Mary Allord) of Royalton; brother, Rod (Margo) Tiemann of Royalton; sisters in law, Lavonne Sjoberg of Bloomington, Anna May Tiemann of Sauk Rapids; 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
