Doris Landowski, 52 year old resident of Plentywood, MT formerly of Burtrum, MN died Saturday, February 23 in Plentywood, MT. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, March 1, 2008 at 10:30 AM at St. Edward's Catholic Church in Elmdale, MN. with Rev. Dale Ettel officiating. Burial will be in St. Edward's Parish Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-9 PM on Friday, February 29 at St. Stanislaus Church Bowlus, MN and from 9:00-10:00 AM on Saturday at the Church in Elmdale, MN. Parish Prayers will be said at 5 PM on Friday at the Church in Bowlus, MN. Doris was born June 20, 1955 in Little Falls, MN to Donald and Rita (Zierden) Wensmann. She attended elementary school in Elmdale, MN and later attended Upsala High School graduating in 1973. She was united in marriage to Steven Landowski on August 2, 1974 in St. Cloud, MN. The couple made their home in Browerville, MN where Doris and Steven farmed for fifteen years together. The couple later moved to Plentywood, MT. Doris was a supervisor at the Pamida Store in Plentywood, MT where she was known as the hardest working employee. If there was a job to do Doris was the person for the job. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, crocheting, reading, dancing, spending time with her grandchildren, children and especially her husband. Doris is survived by her husband, Steven Landowski of Burtrum, MN; father, Donald Wensmann of Bowlus, MN; children, Chad Landowski (Tanya Prathers) of Burtrum, MN, Shannon Coyer (Michael) of Browerville, MN, Joshua Landowski (Carisa) of Rice, MN, Sherry Landowski of Burtrum, MN, Eric Landowski (Jamie) of Swanville, MN; Danielle Landowski (Jeremy) Plentywood, MT; siblings, Kenneth Wensmann (Debbie) of Bowlus, MN, Wayne Wensmann (Joy) of Becker, MN, Diane Roske (Kenneth) of Burtrum, MN, Cindy Yandell (Don) of St. Cloud, MN, Greg Wensmann (Renee) of Bowlus, MN, Marvin Wensmann (Shirley) of Burtrum, MN, Jim Wensmann (Julie) of Bowlus, MN, Brenda Yorek (Kenneth) of Bowlus, MN, Brian Wensmann (Lisa) of Bowlus, MN, Joel Wensmann (Laura) of Sartell, MN, Sandra Herdering (Tom) of St. Rosa, MN, Wanda Ratbum (Barry) of Waite Park, MN, Jessica Ryder (Gary) of Foley, MN, Scott Wensmann (Jenny) of Bowlus, MN. 15 grandchildren. Many nieces, nephews and friends. Doris is preceded in death by her mother; son, Jason Landowski on April 5, 1985; brother, Mark Wensmann, infant brother, Joseph Wensmann and granddaughter, Brooke Landowski on July 27, 2007.
