Donna Mae Kelzenberg

Donna Mae Kelzenberg, age 69, of Little Falls, MN, passed away Monday, June 22, 2009 at her home. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, June 26, 2009 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Belle Prairie (18777 Riverwood Drive, Little Falls, MN) with Rev. Nicholas Landsberger officiating. Interment will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church. Donna was born on June 2, 1940 in Genola, Minnesota the daughter of Leo J. & Amelia (Hoheisel) Sahr. She attended school in the Pierz area graduating from Fr. Pierz Memorial High School, Class of 1958. She was united in marriage to Alfred H. Kelzenberg on May 4, 1959 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pierz, MN. The couple spent their 50 years of marriage living in central Minnesota. They have lived in Little Falls for the past eight years. While living in the Shoreview area, Donna worked at the 49 Club in Lino Lakes. The couple retired in May of 2000. Donna enjoyed long rides in the car, playing cards with friends and family, casinos and camping. She was a lifetime member of the Little Falls V.F.W. Auxiliary. Other things Donna enjoyed include working in her yard, cooking for her family, playing guitar and singing with friends. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Al Kelzenberg of Little Falls; children, Robert (Sherry) Kelzenberg of Shoreview, MN, Randy Kelzenberg of Wichita, KS, Ryan (Kelly) Kelzenberg of Blaine, MN and six grandchildren, Jeremy, Shanna, Elaine, Matthew, Jason and Andrew. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Leo & Amelia Sahr; sisters, Viola Marshik and Shirley Sahr.
