Donna April Peterka

Donna April Peterka, age 20, of St. Cloud, MN formerly of Little Falls, passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2007 at St. Cloud Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN, with Fr. Nick Landsberger and Fr. Mark Innocenti officiating. Visitation will be Monday, February 12, 2007 from 4:00 a" 8:00 p.m. at Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service (East Chapel) in Little Falls, MN with Parish Prayers at 5:30 p.m. Visitation will also be from 9:30 until the service hour on Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Holy Family Cemetery in Belle Prairie. Donna was born on April 22, 1986 in Little Falls, Minnesota to Charles & Kathleen (Hendryx) Peterka. She attended Little Falls Schools and graduated from Little Falls High School, Class of 2004. Donna worked at the Black & White in Little Falls and Pizza Hut in St. Cloud. She was currently attending St. Cloud State University where she enjoyed human relations studies. Donna April loved her family, friends, her dogs, reading and writing. She was kind hearted, giving and generous with her time. Things that brought her joy were creating cards and gifts for friends, playful verbal jousts, and waiting on her "loved and colorful characters" at her waitress jobs. She particularly enjoyed waiting on her good friend, Louise, at the Black & White. Survivors include her parents, Charles & Kathleen of Little Falls, MN; sister, Bailey, of Little Falls, MN; grandparents, Charles & Dorothy Peterka of St. Cloud, MN and Don & Hilda Hendryx of Cedar Rapids, IA; aunts, uncles & cousins, Tom & Crystal Peterka of St. Cloud, MN (Tom & Chris), Steve & Pam Peterka of St. Cloud, MN (Adam, Sam, Ted & Laura), Tom & Mary Hanson of Chaska, MN (Shauna & Mehgan), Dan & Sue Peterka of St. Cloud, MN (Ben & Emma), John & Sarah Peckscamp of Sauk Rapids, MN (Eric, Joe, Aaron), Carol Peterka of Long Island, NY, John & Mellanie Peterka of Eau Claire, WI (Tyler & Bell), Russ & Sue Hendryx of Cedar Rapids, IA (Erica, Carl, Joe, Peter), Milton & Betty Hendryx of Garrison, IA (Shelby, Angie, Josh), Merle & Wayne Welte of Garrison, IA (Ivy, Michael, Kate) and Chuck & Roxanne Hendryx of Memphis, TN (Allan, Emily, Phillip). Preceded in death by her uncle, Leslie Hendryx. Casket Bearers will be Milt Hendryx, Russ Hendryx, Tom Peterka, Steve Peterka, Dan Peterka and John Peterka. Honorary pallbearers are Donna's cousins and her good friend Louise. We are asking that you remember Donna with memorials which will be donated to local charities and to St. Cloud State's Suicide Hotline.
