Donna Ann Brisk

Donna Ann Brisk, age 78 of Pierz, MN passed July 1, 2011 at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Harding with the Rev. David Maciej officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 P.M. Tuesday at the Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Pierz and Wednesday from 9:30-10:30 A.M. at Holy Cross church in Harding. Parish prayers will be said at 6:00 P.M. Tuesday evening at the funeral chapel followed by Knights of Columbus office for the dead at 7:00 P.M. Donna Ann Brisk was born January 7, 1933, in Buh Township, Morrison County, MN to the late Winfred J. and Rosalia (Tretter) May. She graduated from Nicollet High School in 1951. Donna was united in marriage to Rhinehart Brisk on October 11, 1958 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Nicollet, MN. She worked for Brisk Brothers Construction and A.R. Brisk Company as a bookkeeper. She served as clerk for Pulaski Township for 20 years. Donna worked at United Mailing for 15 years, retiring in 2000. From 1993-2010, Donna managed the Pulaski, Richardson and Platte Township Recycling Center. She enjoyed embroidering, making quilts, jigsaw and cross word puzzles, reading, traveling and was an avid Minnesota Twins Fan. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Donna was known for always remembering all her family and friends with cards on their birthdays and anniversaries. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Left to cherish her memory are sons, Robert (Carolyn) Brisk of Buckman, MN, Thomas (Karen) Brisk of Harding, MN and a daughter, Rebecca (George) Dehler Buckman, MN; brother, Steven (Renae) May of Becida, MN and a sister, Mary (Ken) Koll of Little Falls, MN; grandchildren, Daniel (Bobbi Jo) Brisk, Kelly (Doug) Lenz, Nathan Brisk, Marie (Jason) Jay, Curtis Brisk, Kayla Brisk, Theodore Dehler, Bradley Dehler, Emily Ann Dehler & William Dehler and great-grandchildren, Trenton, Jenna, Jaden, Taylor and Logan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rhinehart on March 13, 2006; parents, Winfred and Rosalia May; brothers, Peter and Bernard May and sisters, Joan May and Geraldine Jansen.
