Donna A. Schroeder

Donna A. Schroeder, age 52 of Pierz, MN passed away Monday, December 27, 2010 at the Fairview Northland Medical Center in Princeton, MN. Services will be held Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 11:30 A.M. at Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls with Father Skaria Johnus officiating. Interment will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls. Visitation is from 10:30 - 11:30 A.M. Thursday at the Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls. Donna A. Schroeder was born April 3, 1958 in Denver, CO to the late James and Nancy (Hennigan) Retka. Her father was in the military, so her family lived throughout the United States. She was united in marriage to Ronald Schroeder on December 15, 1978. Donna and Ronald lived in Long Prairie, MN, Little Falls, MN and Pierz, MN. Due to her declining health, Donna lived the last few months of her life at Heritage House in Milaca, MN where she resided until her death. Donna enjoyed collecting angels, crocheting, knitting, baking, reading, painting figurines and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Ronald Schroeder of Pierz, MN; daughter Tina (Gabe) Rybaski of Pierz, MN; granddaughters, Nichole Shaffer & Samantha Rybaski of Pierz, MN; siblings, Jay Retka of Lakeville, MN, Diane Schneider of Clear Lake, MN and Jim Retka of Little Falls, MN. Donna was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Schroeder in 1999; parents, James & Nancy Retka in 1980 & 1981 and a brother, Kurt Retka in 2010. Casketbearers are Gabe Rybaski, Jay Retka, Jim Retka and Joe Schneider.
