Donald J. Scofield

Donald J. Scofield, age 44, of Rice, MN, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2009, of natural causes at his home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Monday, February 23, 2009 at Shepherd of the Pines Lutheran Church in Rice, MN. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. Sunday, February 22, 2009 at Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service (southeast chapel) in Little Falls, MN with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Donald "Don" John Scofield was born on November 18, 1964 in Milaca, MN. He attended school in Little Falls graduating with the Class of 1984. He continued his education at St. Cloud Vocational College in St. Cloud for two years graduating with a waste water management degree. He was employed at Coborn's in Little Falls and at Woodcraft in St. Cloud. He also worked with his brother, Tony in woodworking in the Little Falls area. He was united in marriage to Sherry Lattimer on December 20, 1990. The couple made their home in the Rice area where he resided at the time of his death. Don enjoyed fishing, woodworking and spending time with his family and friends. He attended Shepherd of the Pines Lutheran Church in Rice. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sherry of Rice, MN; children, Jeremiah Scofield of Milaca, MN, Joshua Scofield of Rice, MN, Kaisha Scofield of Rice, MN, Nathanial Scofield of Rice, MN and Caleb Scofield of Rice, MN; parents, Marlene (Joe) Copa of Little Falls, MN; brother, Anthony Scofield of Little Falls, MN; grandmother, Helen Wallskog of Milaca, MN and other family, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Elmer Wallskog. Casket bearers are Joshua Scofield, Jeremiah Scofield, Harlan Scofield, Randy Scofield, Jeff Janey and Michael Lattimer.
