He was the first baby born to Bruce and Karen (Marsolek) Pollock. He was baptized at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN with Terri Irlbeck and Alan Pollock as his baptismal sponsors. Dion was a student at the Royalton School District from grades K-12. He was honored with the "Student of the Month" Award when he was a senior and graduated in 1993. He attended St. Cloud State College and in 1998, he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology. He was always very proud of his degree. With his new degree, Dion found employment in many places over the years. He worked in Alexandria, MN, Palm Springs, CA and Phoenix, AZ. He was very determined and dedicated worker in all his jobs. He loved his job and always tried his best. Dion grew up in the presence of his loving grandparents, grandma Angie, grandpa Eddie, grandma Rosbie, grandpa Alphonse and great grandma and great grandpa Habas. He had them all wrapped around his little finger. He was big brother to Kyle, Angela and Norm and taught them all kind of tricks. He knew how to get them to do things by bribing them with candy or sno-cones. He made up silly games for them to play that they all laugh about to this day. He enjoyed the company of his first cousins Kristi and Kelly quite often as well, including them in his club. It was an honor for Dion to be chosen as a Godfather for John and Kim's first child Case. He enjoyed fishing (especially with Delmar and Leo at Blanchard Dam), playing cards (especially Smear and Golf), dogs (especially Bailey and Max), music (especially Bob Dylan, Tom Petty and The Traveling Wilburys), the television show, "Dallas", the Minnesota Twins and Minnesota Vikings, soda pop (especially Sprite and Mellow Yellow-he had an eternal can of pop with him at all times), fresh home grown tomatoes, House of Pizza in St. Cloud, MN, Bowlus fun day, pull tabs, being able to make friends and family laugh, and vacationing with family at the lakes in the Hackensack and Longville area. Dion had a heart of gold. He was overly generous all of his life and would have given his last dime to a stranger. He was a kind soul, always thinking about others. He had a tremendous sense of humor and would come up with the craziest things to say. Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Bruce and Karen Pollock of Bowlus, MN; siblings, Kyle Pollock of Bloomington, MN, Angela (Andy) Frost of Sauk Rapids, MN, Norm (Sarah) Pollock of Little Falls, MN; nephew and nieces, Isaac Frost, Natalie Frost and Savanna Pollock. grandfather, Alphonse Pollock of Burtrum, MN and grandmother, Rosbie Booth of Monticello, MN.
